The 2024 National DREF Research Symposium titled, “Advancing Health Equity in the African American Community: Strategies for Promoting Ethical Practices and Addressing Health Inequalities,” is marketed with a brief title, ‘A Seat at the Table: Shaping the Health Equity Narrative.’ This event is the culmination of the work done by the 22 DREF Research Working Group, comprised of 22 forward thinking members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. who are actively engaged national researchers. The 22 have been leading national programming aimed at research awareness and involvement between July 2023 and June 2024.

The symposium will include presentations from national Black/African American researchers to highlight the current work addressing health equity with Black/African Americans across varied health conditions that connect to demonstration projects within the NIH All of Us Researcher Workbench. https://www.researchallofus.org/data-tools/workbench/
