A Research Project Examining the Impact of Gun Violence on Black Women & Girls
The Sister Scholars Advisory Council has conducted a new research project examining the impact of gun violence on Black women and girls.
Dr. Tchicaya Robertson, the DREF Board member who leads the Sister Scholars Research Subcommittee, gave a brief introduction of the research project at the 2018 Stephanie Tubbs Jones Social Justice Institute Forum held during Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s 29th Annual Delta Days in the Nation’s Capital conference.
Throughout the remainder of the 2018 calendar, the findings will be shared with DREF stakeholders for action and program implementation to improve the adverse impact of gun violence on Black women and girls.
The preliminary findings of the research project are included in the accompanying infographic on the topic.
