Teachers Advocating to Lead Great Change Program Resources (DTEC-TAG)

The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF), in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (DST), launched the Delta Teacher Efficacy Campaign (DTEC), a highly impactful educational endeavor, in July 2014 and supported by a grant from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Teachers Advocating to lead Great change (TAG) is an initiative that builds upon the teacher advocacy component of the Delta Teacher Efficacy Campaign (DTEC). Selected participants are coached in the areas of advocacy and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) as they create and execute a local TAG Advocacy Project.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. The Founders of Delta Sigma Theta envisioned an organization committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and addressing the social issues of the time.

Since its founding, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities, with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.
