Supporting the Dreams of Achievement for Women & Their Families
DREF provides opportunities in keeping with our mission to promote research which identifies and fashions solutions to issues affecting African American women and their families, nationally and globally, through funding and support of the charitable and educational programs of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and collaborative organizations. Funds are not provided to individuals.
Support is available exclusively to Delta Chapters through DREF’s Charitable Engagement Service. More than 300 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Chapters receive technical assistance in fundraising for charitable and educational programming in their local communities and manage scholarship funds with awards made to high school graduates who are enrolling in college and for college students returning to campus. Since 2000, DREF has worked with Delta chapters to distribute almost $3.0 million in scholarships to deserving students.
The Charitable Engagement Manual is designed to help Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., its chapters and regions, and community organizations secure funding that supports charitable and educational programming. The enhanced edition clarifies procedures that make working with DREF easier and more efficient.
The manual is available for download below, so be sure to download your copy and learn how we have worked to improve compliance, efficiency, and consistency.
