August is Black Philanthropy Month – Donate Today! – “From its inception, Black Philanthropy Month (BPM) was always about the way we harness our giving and community finance traditions to empower ourselves today while creating a better future for Black people everywhere”, states Dr. Jacqueline Bouvier Copeland, BPM Founder.
The 2024 theme Afro-Futures of Giving, aligns with the 2024 BPM campaign led by the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) entitled Shaping the Future with DREF. DREF encourages all members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (DST), families, colleagues, and friends to support the DREF Community Empowerment Grantmaking Program, this August.
DREF’s annual Community Empowerment Grantmaking Program awards financial support to DST chapters and community-based partners with a similar mission with a focus on Civic Engagement, Educational Development, Financial Literacy for Youth, Health and Wellness or International Awareness.
