Announcing: The Honorable Marcia L. Fudge Scholarship

The Fund is being established in recognition of the exemplary leadership and service of the Honorable Marcia L. Fudge to the United States, and the value she places on education, scholarship and public service. The Fund will support scholarships for students majoring in a liberal arts or business discipline who seek a career in public service.

The inaugural scholarship shall be awarded for the 2024 academic year, in an amount to be determined by the Donor. Future scholarship award amounts shall be determined by DREF. Scholarships shall be distributed directly to the recipient’s institution in or around September of each year, commencing in 2024.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. The Founders of Delta Sigma Theta envisioned an organization committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and addressing the social issues of the time.
