DREF Sister Scholar, TaKeia Anthony, Ph.D., served as the 2021 Vivian A. Ware Research Fellow to research and document the history of DREF.

Did you Know? Dr. Geraldine Pittman Woods, the 13th National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., established DREF in 1967 at the 29th National Convention in Cincinnati, OH. Her Philanthropic vision was to create a vehicle for the Sorority to raise money for research and educational programs and to establish a research center.

The history book entitled: Delta Research and Educational Foundation, 55 years of Black Women’s Intellectualism and Philanthropy 1967-2022 is now available, along with a $55 or more contribution.
