This Mother’s Day, DREF continues to honor the heart in every home and the strength behind every story — our remarkable mothers. Whether by birth, choice, or spirit, the love, wisdom, mentorship and grace you share make the world brighter every day.
We thank all mothers for their endless sacrifices, unwavering support, and unconditional love. Wishing all the moms, mother figures, and nurturers a beautiful season filled with joy, love, and well-deserved appreciation.
The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) presents the 2025 Roses and Violets Charitable Campaign. The campaign was named after two very beautiful flowers. Now, more than ever, we must come together to ensure resources are available to conduct the educational and research initiatives at DREF to support African American women and their families, by Creating Possibilities and Improving Lives. Roses symbolize love, admiration and friendship. The violet, which is near and dear to Deltas, symbolizes loyalty, faith and inspiration. These flowers represent the attributes of all mothers and women who have supported us along the way.
